Formerly the 9th assassin of the Shadows Creed organization, has since turned a new leaf after meeting a certain someone. Although she vows to protect, she is rather misguided in her new direction.
— Tac9's data

Tac9 is a User in PURSUITCORE. She can be purchased for 999 points at the Prize Corner. She is a highly offensive character who can further boost her team's stunning output with her Skullbuster.

Appearanceedit

Tac9--full name, Tac9 Shadepaw--is a Lolcat, an anthropomorphic black cat. She has short ears, long hair colored as her fur--with a red streaks through it--along with fur tufts on the sides of her head, red eyes and pink pupils, maroon cheek blush and red paw pads, her tail is long also with a red streak. She wears a maroon beanie and coat, a waffle crop-top underneath, along with eigengrau shorts with red lining the pockets and knees and boot-sized gray roller skates with yellow wheels.

Abilitiesedit

Walljump

Key: SpaceType: ActiveCooldown: 8 seconds

"Pressing space in mid-air will make Tac kick forwards, hitting a wall while in this state will cause her to kick off of it, sending her in the opposite direction of the wall and putting her into a boosted state that alters her moves."

Walljump grants only a small height gain without a wall, and a much higher height gain with a wall.
The boosted state lasts from the moment Tac9 walljumps to the moment she lands on the ground.

Divekick

Key: QType: ActiveCooldown: 22 seconds

"Replaces dropkick while in boosted state. Tac quickly dives downward with her leg extended, stunning the Terminator for 1.5 seconds."

Divekick has an additional small shockwave effect only on miss, which bounces the Terminator upward and puts their abilities on a 2 second cooldown.
On hit, Tac9 bounces off the Terminator and Walljump is placed on a 4 second cooldown.
Divekick has considerable endlag on miss.
Divekick's stun duration decreases by 0.1 seconds for every duplicate Tac9 alive.

Skullbuster

Key: EType: ActiveCooldown: 30 seconds

"Tac extends her arm out and readies a powerful blast, hitting a terminator will knock them back and inflict vulnerable, while vulnerable terminators take 1.25x stun. If this attack is used while Tac is in her boosted state, it will fire immediately upon using the move and will auto-aim to the nearest terminator."

On use, Tac9 enters an aiming stance, playing a global sound cue.
While aiming, Tac9 has reduced movement speed.
Skullbuster is not omnidirectional, and can only be aimed left and right.
Skullbuster can be manually cancelled for a 5 second cooldown. Skullbuster cannot be forced out of aiming.
Clicking again fires a skull projectile in a straight line aimed towards the mouse/crosshair.
Skullbuster applies some knockback on hit and the Vulnerable debuff to the Terminator. Vulnerable lasts for 6 seconds or until a successful stun is landed.
In boosted state, Skullbuster immediately fires on first click and autoaims on Terminator.
Vulnerable increases the stun duration of the next stun by (stun duration + 0.5) * 1.2.
Vulnerable's stun duration boost (the 0.5 bit) decreases by 0.1 seconds for every duplicate Tac9 alive to a minimum of 0.2 seconds.
Vulnerable can (hypothetically) create the longest possible stun, being 4.2 seconds of stun time.
- Without any stacking debuffs, if a Tac9 applies Vulnerable to a Terminator, and then dies/leaves leading into Dante gaining their LMS buff and using Wingbeat, the final total is (3+0.5)*1.2=4.2 seconds of stun.
- For a more consistent method, a fully charged Mikaela snipe is (2.5+0.5)*1.2=3.6 seconds.

Dropkick

Key: QType: ActiveCooldown: 10 seconds (autocancel/forced out) / 27 seconds (on use) / 30 seconds (first click)

"Tac readies herself in a crouching stance and begins charging up, clicking while in this stance will send her flying forwards depending on her level of charge. Stuns for 1.5 seconds."

On use, Tac9 enters an aiming stance with a red flash and a global sound cue.
Tac9 rolls to a stop and cannot move at all while aiming.
Dropkick autocancels after 10 seconds of aiming, putting the move on a 10 second cooldown. This same cooldown is also applied if Tac9 takes damage while aiming.
Velocity is charged for ~1 second until maximum velocity is reached.
There is a slight delay before Dropkick's hitbox appears while diving.
Tac9 is Invulnerable for the duration of the hitboxes.
On hit, Dropkick applies strong knockback to the Terminator and Tac9 gains a slight speed boost for 1 second.
The force of the knockback depends on the velocity charged, and max chargeable velocity depends on Tac9's walkspeed; speed boosts will increase this maximum.
On miss, Tac9 gradually slides to a halt, but immediately halts if she is close to the Terminator.
Dropkick's stun duration decreases by 0.125 seconds for every duplicate Tac9 alive.

Tipsedit

Velocity can be used to both make space and stun the Terminator.
Skullbuster can be used to push Terminator's away from both you and other Users on top of putting pressure on the Terminator.
- Additionally it can be used to block an m1 if the distance between Tac9 and the Terminator is close enough; You can still be hit if you're too close
Walljump can be used to make it over certain walls; the usefulness is Map dependent.
If Dropkick is used from an elevated area, do not press jump, as you will be counted as in air; jumping will perform a Walljump. And you will accidentally cause yourself to have extra end-lag.
Divekick can be used in areas with low ceilings for a practically guaranteed stun.

Triviaedit

Tac9 speaks by starting with "9>", replacing "Q"s, "O"-starting words and anything ending in "ine" with 9.
- Her typing quirk is the most unique one so far.
- An interaction with Dante may suggest she also replaces the first “I” in a word with “9” as well, but other interactions contradict this.
Skullbuster is something Tac9 can do naturally, the innate powers of a lolcat.^[2]
Tac9's rollerskates are a weapon named the "Waffle Irons".^[3]
Nyan and Tac9 are confirmed to be +legal adults and are +not related.^[4]
- They're girlfriends by the way, they're going through a "rough patch" however.
  - "I will say that I cant wait to explore nyan and tac9's overall relationship cause what I have in mind is hopefully a bit more complex than what's at face value"^[5]
  - Nyan lovingly refers to Tac as "Nine".^[6]
As a former assassin, Tac9 has body count. She's killed people.^[7]
