Mikaela - PURSUITCORE Wiki

Mikaela

user · in-game

The decorated sniper of the 'Raze' Snipers Faction. She's well-known for her style and finesse in the art of sniping.
— Mikaela's data

Mikaela is a User in PURSUITCORE. She is one of the first three Users automatically given to the player. Mikaela lacks mobility but has a long-ranged stunning ability that can apply constant pressure on Terminators in open Maps.

Appearanceedit

Mikaela -- full name, Mikaela Hawkeye -- is a Lolcat, an anthropomorphic cyan cat. She has big ears--colored red below and cyan on top--short black hair with a red streak on their right, along with fur tufts on the sides of her head and big white eyes; their tail is big and colored similarly to their ears. She keeps a pair of lime lens goggles over her head and wears a lime coat with black stripes, a red t-shirt beneath--with an Awesome Face sporting an Obey hat and MLG shades surrounded by Counter-Strike hit markers--and black cargo pants. They wield an Intervention sniper rifle as her primary weapon.

Abilitiesedit

Snipe

Key: QType: ActiveCooldown: 23 seconds

"Ready your rifle, and click to shoot. When your rifle is readied it will begin charging, an uncharged shot will stun for 0.5 seconds, after 2 seconds your shot will become charged and stun for 1.5 seconds, and after 6 seconds your shot will become overcharged and stun for 2.5 seconds and bypass stacking debuffs."

Mikaela enters an aiming stance on use, causing her movement speed to be largely reduced. She cannot sprint while aiming.
The rifle's projectile is hitscan, and its target is marked by a red dot that follows the player's cursor.
A global sound cue is played for both normal and overcharged snipes.
You can manually cancel the move for a 5 second cooldown. Mikaela cannot be forced out of aiming.
Do the Dew is put on a 10 second cooldown after using Snipe.
Snipe's stun duration decreases by 0.125s for every duplicate Mikaela alive.

Smokebomb

Key: RType: ActiveCooldown: 34 seconds

"Throw a smokebomb at the ground, reducing your speed and making you invisible for 3 seconds."

Despite its in-game description, Mikaela remains somewhat visible while under Smokebomb's effect.
Mikaela is unable to use Snipe until the invisibility wears off.
Smokebomb also applies a second hidden status effect that prevents highlight abilities from highlighting Mikaela for ~5 seconds.
- If Mikaela is already highlighted, Smokebomb will not remove the highlight.
Sparks from Do the Dew are still visible during Smokebomb.

If Mikaela is already highlighted, Smokebomb will not remove the highlight.

Do the Dew

Key: EType: ActiveCooldown: 30 seconds (wears off/miss) / 23 seconds (successful hit)

"Drink a Mountain Dew. Drinking a dew will instantly charge your next shot when readying Snipe, but will prevent overcharging for its duration."

Mikaela's rifle glows with green electricity during the effect.
- This effect doesn't disappear when using Smokebomb.
On use, Snipe is briefly put on a 1.5 second cooldown if not already on cooldown.
The effect lasts for 16 seconds, after which it automatically cancels and enters a longer-than-usual cooldown.

This effect doesn't disappear when using Smokebomb.

Tipsedit

Avoid using Smokebomb when you know a Terminator has just used a perk that reveals locations, as they can see you through the invisibility.
Avoid using Smokebomb right after Do The Dew, as the green particles reveal your position completely.
If your aim isn't great, try to aim your shot at where you think the Terminator is headed instead of tracking.
Use Smokebomb in dark places where the Terminator will have a harder time seeing you.
Use Smokebomb in the air or midfall for quick escapes.
Terminators like Sweep and Captain Limewire are easier targets for Mikaela due to their larger hurtboxes.
Do NOT use Dew the Dew or ANY callouts before using Smokebomb.
- The sparks created by Do the Dew are still visible to everyone, making you a slow, easy target for the Terminator.
- The callout speech bubble also lingers while using Smokebomb, also making you a slow, easy target.

Triviaedit

Mikaela never misses her shots. It was something she was just born with.
- "[lolcats are] intentionally nutty like that cause mary sues lol"^[1]
- "...a lot of people wouldn't like Mikaela because she's extremely cracked at cod"^[2]
- Because of this, missing a shot ingame causes the bullet to continue travelling through the ground until it hits someone.^[3]
  - Either that, or she decided to hit the crazier shot of the tiny bug next to the siphoning Blankstare.^[4]
Mikaela talks in L3375P34K, a typing quirk where certain letters are replaced by similar numbers.
- Her callouts have it toned down a bit, likely to keep it understandable at a first glance.
Mikaela hates children, mostly due to squeakers.^[5]
- She would punt Fukatsuki if given the chance.
- She would explode The Kit with her mind if she could.
Mikaela thinks Minecraft is a baby's game, even calling the graphics shit.^[6]
"Mikaela's Smokebomb is actually filled with DDT and it kills all the birds in the atmosphere"^[7]
"Mikaela has probably played squads with psc princess luna at least once"^[8]
"the m in mikaela stands for mlg"^[9]
